DIY Pumpkin Spice Frappacino for Fall

I'm sure everyone has heard of Starbuck's delicious Pumpkin Spice Frappacino they debut every year come Fall. It's deliciously sweet and comforting flavor tantalizes the senses and makes you crave it every October. (As if we didn't have enough pumpkin-flavored things to choose from). As I sipped my long-awaited pumpkin spice frappacino and let the icy concoction send my tastebuds into a frenzy, I unfortunately decided to google the caloric info on my drink.

Holy crap.

The Pumpkin Spice Frappacino from Starbucks comes in at a whopping 540 calories (144 of those from fat) and a painful 79 grams of sugar (the daily MAX amount of sugar for females is 29g). Now, I'm not the most food-conscious person in the world and certainly know that my morning coffee has sugar in it, but that made me feel like I was getting a little bit too much sugar for my liking.

So I decided to create my own Pumpkin Spice Frappacino for
less than $1.50 a serving AND with only about 200 calories per serving.

Here's how I did it:

--1 can of Organic Pumpkin. (NOT pie filler used for baking)
--Milk. (I prefer natural flaxseed milk but you can use any type you like)
--COLD coffee. I make about half a cup of instant coffee the night before and put it in the fridge. The key is the coffee must be cold in the morning or your consistency will be off.
--Pumpkin Spice. You can buy this seasoning in the Spice section. OR if they do not have this specific kind you can combine ground cloves, cinnamon & nutmeg to the same effect.
--Whipped Cream. I prefer the organic kind Sprouts sells but you can use any kind.

So where do we begin? It's pretty simple really. Start with 1/4 can of pumpkin and put it into a bowl with 1.5 cups of milk and a few dashes of spices. Mix this until it is a nice smooth consistency and then put it in an ice tray and freeze overnight. Make sure to brew your coffee or do instant coffee the night before and put the coffee in the fridge to make sure it is cold in the morning.

In the morning combine a few of your pumpkin ice cubes with a little coffee (start slow and don't add too much coffee! Remember the drink is supposed to be a nice orange color) and you can add some more seasoning to the blender. Adjust to your tastebuds, top with whipped cream & dash a little bit more pumpkin spice seasoning on top!

Voila! The perfect, cheap and calorie friendly Pumpkin Spice Frappacino!

Annoying things people do while driving

Change lanes without using their signals:

Being the car behind you honks at you as soon as the light turns green.

When a driver is going slow in the left lane, but when
you try to pass they speed up so you can't get around them.

People realizing they're about to miss their turn & instead of
getting off at the next exit & circling back, they cut
across 3 lanes of traffic to exit now.

People slowing down to 10MPH when it starts to rain:

Floor their car as soon as the light turns green:

Eat & do makeup while driving:

DIY (Do It Yourself) Hot Pink Accent Table or Nightstand

Hey all :) Here is my newest furniture revamp! I honestly didn't think this
would turn into a nice piece because it was filthy and all dinged up when I purchased it.
Well, after a ton of love and sanding I am pleased with the results :)
I used KILZ primer & BEHR Paint products!

Here are the Before & After Photos:

Cycle of Emotions When Going to the Mall

Trying to find a spot or later leave it in the parking lot:

Being a female with a big purse & getting tailed by security:

Having to walk a mile to get to the one store you want to go to:

Not remembering what entrance you came in or where you parked:

Trying to walk through the crowds on the weekend:

Seeing someone you know when you look like crap:

Trying to pick out which food court place you want to eat at:

Trying to just buy that ONE thing you came in for:

DIY (Do It Yourself) Mint Green Nightstand :)

Hey all :) As you know I love DIY projects and spend quite a bit of time on them.
I have recently found a love for furniture and re-doing ugly pieces!
This little nightstand was only $6.99 and totally a nice solid piece.
Unfortunately I do not have my BEFORE picture because my phone
was stolen :( BUT here is the AFTER picture :)

I used BEHR Paint with the primer already added inside of it. I used a few
of the sample sizes because that's really all you need for a small piece.
I sanded between coats of paint and used a nice Polyethane clear sealant.

The stencil black at the bottom gave me a VERY VERY hard time and in retrospect
I would have done that FIRST rather than paint the sides first.

This is not the first furniture piece I've done but it is the first one I've done
CORRECTLY! Using Primer, GOOD paint, Sanding, and a good Sealant.
This was a very difficult piece but it taught me a lot about painting.

DIY (Do It Yourself) Dresser & Vanity Set Renovation

Hey bloggers! So I'm a dingy and didn't take "before" pictures for this DIY furniture
refurbishment but I took some in the middle. My girlfriend had these sitting around and
wanted them to match her new Paris themed bedroom. So I decided to do
a black/nude color to keep it both classy but able to compliment pretty much any color wall, carpet, etc.

Here's the finished product :)

This was a difficult project because the wood was extremely glossy.
Always select a good de-glosser, a good primer, a paint with primer in it and a good sealant.

Enjoy DIY lovers :) What do you think?

The Shitty Cycle of Being Sick

When everyone you work with is sick & you know you're about to get it:

Going to bed with a sniffle & waking up REALLY sick:

Having to call out of work:

Your boss thinking you're lying about being sick when you're actually not:

Feeling your nose go raw from blowing it so much:

Seeing your nose start peeling from blowing it so much:

Not wanting to get out of bed. For anything.:

Not being able to work out, go out or do anything:

Asking the nurse how long until the Doctor can see you:

Having to fill your prescriptions:

Taking an extra day off even though you could probably work:

When you finally feel better & can go back to the real world:
